New Grade, New Year.

Well, long time no blog. I wish I were better at this. 

I am looking forward to my next adventure in teaching:  I am 

returning to first grade! 

Wooooooohoooooo!

I am going to be blog-stalking all of the first grade bloggers to 

prepare for my firsties!

Of course I can blog again. I am on maternity leave and it is summer.

Congrats to everyone winding down their school year! It has been an exciting year for us. 

I am trying to type with a little two month old baby on my lap!

I have been enjoying my maternity leave, but I sure do miss my little fourth graders. They are in fantastic

hands, I just miss them. Luckily this little dude will have his shots before the end of 

the school year so my class can meet him. We had a fantastic year, it never ceases to amaze me at how 

close you can become with a class in just a few short months. I will always remember this crew, we had a lot 

of fun!

Geez oh Geez, Where Do I Begin? and a Linky or Two.

So I have been super busy in my classroom. Everyday this week. Four days this week, one day was a beach day! I have a few pictures for you, well two. I went crazy shopping at the TPT sale earlier this week, way too crazy. I hope to do a more appropriate shout-out soon. If the students were to enter the room tomorrow (I know it is Saturday) I would be alright with that. I need to start writing things down. Doesn't somebody have a linky for that?
Here is my word wall, well at least the beginning of it, it is now finished but I did not photograph it.

A lot more has gone on in that room of mine, will take some photos on Monday. We are meeting as a fourth grade team Monday. Then it is off to meetings for me! Students return the 28th!

Another Busy Day...classroom rug, photo updates, and cool products! (And a few shameless plugs.)

My classroom is beginning to feel like a classroom, many thanks to my husband (Super Hot Peppers), and a few more thanks go out to our fantastic custodial crew!

Here are a few pictures to update you all on the progress:

Our meeting area. My friend over at Fair Weather Furniture is going to help me make

a bench and a couple o' stools. One of the amazing custodians grabbed

that wonderful longish-tallish bookshelf for me.

This is a shot towards my desk. I love the round table in the center of the room,

 it was the hubster's idea. Orbiting around the center table are 6 groups

 of 4 tables (I currently have 23 students.)

As I am sure you all know, hanging items on walls can sometimes be tricky.

That is all I am going to say.

I did pick up the carpet/rug at Home Depot--not a bad price either. I like it.

I also would love to take a minute to thank Tori over at Tori's Teacher Tips for the

fantastic Animal Election and Math Daily 3 bundles. I have looked them over and can hardly wait to use them in my classroom!
